Nephrology is an area of internal medicine that examines and treats not only the kidneys but also the body as a whole. Nephrologists are experts at caring for patients with kidney disease and other conditions related to kidney disease. They are involved in long-term treatment of patients. Starting with the diagnosis of proteinuria/hematuria, our department manages everything from the initial stages of kidney disease to the terminal phase, including treatment of kidney disease and the introduction of dialysis and post-dialysis management.
